Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam is a medication used to treat the symptoms of a dry cough brought on by a cold or bronchitis. Its two main ingredients, dextromethorphan and menthol, work together to suppress coughing and relieve symptoms of a dry cough. Dextromethorphan suppresses coughing and reduces its effects, while menthol acts as a calming agent and coolant by obstructing the calcium current in the nerves that sense body temperature.
